Caramel Praline Crunch

Praline Crunch

Every holiday, my kitchen fills with the irresistible aroma of Praline Crunch—sweet, nutty, and crunchy perfection. It’s always the first treat gone, whether it’s for gatherings, gift baskets, or a cozy movie night. Once people try it, they can’t stop asking for more.

The first time I brought it to a neighborhood cookie exchange, it vanished almost instantly. Now, double batches are a must because everyone wants a piece.

Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • 8 cups Crispix cereal
  • 2 cups pecan halves

Caramel Mixture

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp baking soda

Directions

Step 1: Preheat Oven
Heat oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2: Mix Base
In a large bowl, combine the cereal and pecans, setting aside.

Step 3: Make Caramel
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in brown sugar and corn syrup until smooth. Bring to a gentle boil, stirring constantly.

Step 4: Finish Caramel
Boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and baking soda until the mixture bubbles and thickens.

Step 5: Coat Mixture
Pour the caramel over the cereal and pecans. Gently toss until everything is evenly coated.

Step 6: Bake
Spread the coated mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even caramelization.

Step 7: Cool & Break Apart
Let cool completely, then break into clusters. Store in an airtight container to maintain crunch.

💡 Tips

  • Work quickly when combining the caramel—the mixture sets fast.
  • Perfect for holiday gifts, snacking, or festive dessert tables.

Final Result: Crispy, golden clusters glazed in sweet praline, delivering instant holiday joy.
