Cheesy Crispy Hotdog Casserole

Crispy Cheesy Hotdogs

Take ordinary hotdogs to the next level with this simple, crowd-pleasing recipe. Each hotdog is sliced open, filled with a savory blend of cheddar, Parmesan, and spices, then baked until golden and bubbly. The result is a gooey, crispy snack packed with smoky, cheesy flavor in every bite.

Perfect for quick dinners, game day treats, or sleepover snacks, these hotdogs disappear fast—they’re that good.

Ingredients

HotdogsCheese FillingExtras
4 beef hotdogs1 cup shredded cheddarToothpicks (optional)
½ cup grated Parmesan
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp smoked paprika

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat Oven
Heat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2: Make the Cheese Filling
In a small bowl, mix together cheddar, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.

Step 3: Prepare Hotdogs
Cut each hotdog lengthwise to create a pocket, making sure not to slice all the way through.

Step 4: Stuff and Secure
Fill each hotdog pocket with the cheese mixture, pressing gently. Sprinkle extra cheddar on top if you like, and use toothpicks to hold everything in place.

Step 5: Bake
Arrange the stuffed hotdogs on the baking sheet. Bake 10–15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden and crispy.

Step 6: Serve
Let the hotdogs rest for a few minutes to set the cheese, then serve warm.

💡 Tips & Tricks

  • Keep the hotdog slit partial so the filling stays inside.
  • Toothpicks are handy for keeping the cheese secure while baking.
  • Best enjoyed fresh from the oven with fries, chips, or a side salad for a balanced meal.
