This dessert combines the warm, cinnamon-sugar charm of a snickerdoodle with a rich, gooey fruit-free cobbler base. It’s delightfully sweet, wonderfully comforting, and easier to make than you might expect.

📝 Snickerdoodle Cobbler – A Cozy Twist on a Favorite

Ingredients

IngredientQuantity
Unsalted butter1/2 cup
All-purpose flour1 1/2 cups
Granulated sugar3/4 cup
Baking powder2 tsp
Salt1/4 tsp
Whole milk1 cup
Vanilla extract1 tsp
Ground cinnamon1 1/2 tsp
Light brown sugar1 1/2 cups
Hot water1 3/4 cups

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Melt the Butter

  • Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place the butter in a 9×13-inch baking dish and let it melt in the oven.

2. Combine the Dry Ingredients

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.

3. Create the Batter

  • Slowly add the milk and vanilla to the dry mixture. Stir until the batter is smooth and fully combined.

4. Add Batter to the Dish

  • Pour the batter directly over the melted butter. Resist stirring—leaving the layers separate is key.

5. Make the Snickerdoodle Topping

  • Mix the cinnamon and brown sugar in a small bowl.
  • Sprinkle the mixture evenly across the surface of the batter without stirring.

6. Pour the Hot Water

  • Carefully pour the hot water over the top, trying not to disturb the layers. This will create a caramel-like sauce as it bakes.

7. Bake

  • Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the cobbler is golden and set on top.

8. Cool & Serve

  • Let it rest for at least 15 minutes so the sauce can thicken.
  • Serve warm and enjoy the cozy cinnamon goodness!
