🥚 Air Fryer “Boiled” Eggs

🛒 Ingredients & Tools

Ingredients

  • Eggs – Any size (large is most common)
  • Ice cubes – For cooling
  • Cold water – For the ice bath
  • Salt, pepper, or seasonings – Optional

Equipment

  • Air fryer – Preheated
  • Heat-safe bowl – For ice bath
  • Slotted spoon or tongs – For safe removal

Tip: Eggs that are 5–7 days old tend to peel more easily than very fresh eggs.

👩‍🍳 Instructions

Preheat the Air Fryer
Set to 270°F (130°C). If your air fryer runs cooler, use 275°F (135°C). Preheat for 2–3 minutes.

Arrange the Eggs
Place eggs in a single layer with a little space between each one so hot air can circulate evenly.

Cook Time

  • Soft-boiled (runny yolk): 9–10 minutes
  • Medium-boiled (jammy yolk): 11–12 minutes
  • Hard-boiled (fully cooked): 13–15 minutes

No flipping or checking required—just set it and let the air fryer work.

Ice Bath
Immediately transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water. Let them chill for at least 5 minutes to stop cooking, protect yolk color, and make peeling easier.

Peel & Serve
Tap eggs gently, roll to crack the shells, and peel under cool running water. Season simply or pair with your favorite spices, sauces, or dips.
