👨🍳 Instructions
Step 1: Set Up Your Breading Station
Prepare three shallow bowls:
- Bowl 1: Flour seasoned generously with salt and pepper.
- Bowl 2: Two beaten eggs.
- Bowl 3: A mix of panko, Parmesan, garlic (minced or powdered), parsley, paprika (if using), plus more salt and pepper. Stir thoroughly to combine.
Step 2: Bread the Mushrooms
One by one:
- Dredge each mushroom in the seasoned flour. Shake off the excess.
- Dip into the beaten eggs, coating fully.
- Roll in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to coat all sides.
Place coated mushrooms on a plate or tray while you finish the rest.
Step 3: Fry to Golden Perfection
In a heavy-bottomed skillet, heat ½ inch of vegetable oil over medium heat. To test if it’s ready, drop in a breadcrumb—it should sizzle instantly.
- Fry mushrooms in batches to avoid overcrowding.
- Cook 2–3 minutes per batch, turning to brown all sides evenly.
- Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain off excess oil.
Step 4: Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle the hot, crispy mushrooms with fresh parsley for a burst of color. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces like marinara, ranch, or aioli.
