Delicious Bread For Breakfast, I’ve been doing it for years, it has never misled me!

🍞 Morning Bliss Bread: A Cozy Start to Your Day

This comforting breakfast bread is wonderfully soft, slightly sweet, and endlessly customizable. Whether you enjoy it plain or load it up with fruit, nuts, or warm spices, this loaf makes a perfect morning treat or afternoon snack.

🧾 Ingredients

For the Base:

IngredientQuantity
All-purpose flour1 ¾ cups
Baking soda1 teaspoon
Salt½ teaspoon
Unsalted butter, melted½ cup
Granulated sugar or brown sugar¾ cup
Large eggs (room temperature)2
Vanilla extract1 teaspoon
Buttermilk*½ cup

*Tip: No buttermilk? Use ½ cup milk with 1 tsp lemon juice or vinegar. Let sit for 5 minutes before using.

Optional Add-Ins (Choose Your Favorites):

  • 1 cup mashed bananas (for banana bread flavor)
  • 1 cup blueberries, chocolate chips, or chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (for cozy warmth)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

Step 2: Mix the Dry Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Step 3: Combine the Wet Ingredients
In a large bowl, mix the melted butter with sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each. Stir in the vanilla extract, followed by the buttermilk. Mix until the batter is silky and fully blended.

Step 4: Combine Everything Together
Gradually stir the dry mixture into the wet ingredients. Use a spatula or spoon and mix just until combined—avoid overmixing! If you’re adding bananas, berries, nuts, chocolate chips, or spices, fold them in now.

Step 5: Bake It Up
Pour the batter into your loaf pan and level the top. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.

Serving Suggestions:
Toast slices and top with butter or nut butter, or enjoy as-is with a hot cup of coffee or tea.

Want it more indulgent? Drizzle with a glaze or dust with powdered sugar after cooling.
