Baked Sweet and Savory Cabbage Wedges

Elevate humble cabbage into a standout side dish with this easy recipe! These roasted cabbage wedges feature crispy caramelized edges and tender centers, all infused with a flavorful mix of balsamic sweetness and savory herbs. A perfect match for any main course!


Ingredients:

Instructions:

Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Step 2: Cut the Cabbage
Slice the cabbage into 6 to 8 wedges, keeping the core intact in each to maintain their shape during baking.

Step 3: Mix the Marinade
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, thyme, and oregano.

Step 4: Coat the Cabbage
Place the cabbage wedges in the bowl and gently toss to ensure they’re fully coated with the marinade on all sides.

Step 5: Bake
Arrange the wedges on a lined baking sheet. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for another 20–25 minutes, or until the wedges are tender and the edges turn golden and crisp.

Step 6: Garnish and Serve
Just before serving, optionally sprinkle the wedges with freshly grated Parmesan cheese for a savory finish. Serve warm and enjoy!
