This recipe creates a hearty and satisfying breakfast casserole perfect for feeding a crowd. It combines savory breakfast sausage, crispy tater tots, a blend of cheeses, and a creamy egg mixture for a delicious and easy morning meal.

Tater Tot Casserole Breakfast

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a 9×13-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
  2. Cook the Sausage: Place a large skillet over medium heat. Add the breakfast sausage and cook until it is crumbled and browned. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Combine Ingredients in a Bowl: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and frozen tater tots. Toss until all ingredients are well mixed.
  4. Transfer to Baking Pan: Transfer the sausage, cheese, and tater tot mixture to the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  5. Prepare Egg Mixture: In a separate mixing bowl, add the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk until the mixture is thoroughly combined.
  6. Pour Egg Mixture over Casserole: Pour the egg mixture over the tater tot mixture in the baking pan. Gently stir until the egg mixture is just combined with the other ingredients.
  7. Bake the Casserole: Place the baking pan in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 1 hour, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
  8. Cool and Serve: Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes at room temperature. Slice and serve. Enjoy!
