Step 1: Create Pecan Bases

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Arrange four pecan halves in small clusters, shaped like a turtle with a head and legs.

Step 2: Melt the Caramels

Place the unwrapped caramels in a microwave-safe bowl.
Add 1 tablespoon of water.
Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each round until the caramel is smooth and pourable.
Let it cool slightly while remaining liquid.

Step 3: Add Caramel

Spoon a dollop of melted caramel onto the center of each pecan cluster, just enough to hold the nuts together.
Allow to set for about 10 minutes until firm.

Step 4: Melt the Chocolate

Place chocolate chips in another microwave-safe bowl.
Heat in 30-second bursts, stirring until completely melted and smooth.

Step 6: Cool & Enjoy

Let the candies cool at room temperature, or pop them in the fridge for faster setting.
Once firm, gently peel them off the paper or mat.
