In our house, we call it ‘Lazy Day Ziti.’ It’s so good, no one would guess how effortless it is!

This warm and satisfying Slow Cooker Baked Ziti brings all the comfort of a classic Italian-American favorite to your dinner table. With layers of flavorful marinara, creamy ricotta, and melty mozzarella, it’s an easy and delicious choice for busy weeknights or casual get-togethers.

  2. Mix in the sauce: Transfer the cooked meat to your slow cooker. Add the marinara sauce, crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
  3. Add the pasta: Pour in the uncooked ziti and mix thoroughly to coat the pasta with the sauce.
  4. Layer ricotta: Drop dollops of ricotta cheese evenly over the pasta mixture.
  5. Slow cook: Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours, or until the pasta is fully cooked and tender.
  6. Add cheeses: About 20 minutes before serving, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses on top. Cover again and let the cheese melt.
  7. Serve and garnish: Spoon into bowls and garnish with fresh basil, if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
