I’ve had this when I stayed in Lancaster, PA. Haven’t seen it anywhere else. It’s ahhhh-mazing! So excited to make it myself.

This smooth and decadent spread is a cherished staple in Amish kitchens. Blending the rich flavors of peanut butter, brown sugar, and marshmallow creme, it delivers a creamy, sweet indulgence that’s perfect for breakfast or an afternoon treat.


Amish Church Spread

Ingredients:

Brown Sugar½ cup
Marshmallow Creme½ cup
Water¼ cup
Light Corn Syrup1 tablespoon
Butter1 tablespoon
Vanilla Extract½ teaspoon
Maple Extract (optional)½ teaspoon
Biscuits, English Muffins, or ToastFor serving

Instructions:

1. Combine Ingredients
Place the peanut butter, brown sugar, marshmallow creme, water, corn syrup, and butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

2. Mix Until Smooth
Stir continuously as the ingredients melt together, creating a smooth, creamy texture.

3. Add Flavoring
Once fully blended, remove from the heat. Stir in the vanilla extract and maple extract, if desired, for a hint of warm sweetness.

4. Cool Slightly
Let the mixture cool for a few minutes before transferring it into a serving bowl or jar.
