“I’ve made this dozens of times and the family cannot get enough!”

This Pizza Burger Pie combines the satisfying flavors of a juicy burger with the cheesy goodness of pizza, all nestled in a flaky pie crust. It’s a fun and easy way to enjoy two favorites in one delicious dish!

Ingredients:

For the Base:

IngredientQuantity
Ground beef1 lb
Small onion1
Garlic powder1 teaspoon
Italian seasoning1 teaspoon
Salt1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper1/4 teaspoon
Pie crust1

For the Toppings:

IngredientQuantity
Pizza sauce1/2 cup
Shredded mozzarella cheese1 cup
Sliced pepperoni1/2 cup
Additional toppingsAs desired

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Pie Crust: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and set it aside. If using a store-bought crust, follow package instructions for unbaked crust.
  2. Cook Burger Base: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and finely chopped onion until the beef is thoroughly browned and the onion is softened. Drain off any excess fat from the skillet.
  3. Season Beef: Stir the garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper into the cooked ground beef mixture. Mix well to combine the seasonings.
  4. Assemble the Pie: Spread the cooked and seasoned ground beef mixture evenly in the bottom of the prepared pie crust.
  5. Add Pizza Sauce: Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the layer of cooked ground beef.
  6. Add Cheese and Toppings: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the pizza sauce. Arrange the sliced pepperoni on top of the cheese. Add any additional toppings you desire, such as sliced mushrooms, chopped bell peppers, or olives.
  7. Bake the Pie: Place the pie dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the pie crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly browned.
  8. Rest and Serve: Once baked, let the Pizza Burger Pie rest for 5 minutes before slicing it into wedges. Serve hot and enjoy this fun and flavorful fusion dish!
