This easy Sheet Pan Meatloaf uses just five ingredients to create a hearty, comforting meal with less mess and quicker cook time. Baking it on a sheet pan gives it a delicious crust all around and helps it cook evenly and faster than traditional loaf pan versions. It’s a no-fuss dinner that’s ideal for busy weeknights.
Ingredients:
| Ingredient | Quantity |
|---|---|
| Ground beef | 1 ½ pounds |
| Breadcrumbs | 1 cup |
| Ketchup (divided) | ½ cup |
| Dry onion soup mix | 1 packet |
| Large eggs | 2 |
Step 1: Prepare and Combine
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, half the ketchup, the onion soup mix, and the eggs. Stir until everything is well blended, but don’t overmix.
Step 2: Form the Loaf
Place the meat mixture onto your prepared pan and shape it into a loaf, roughly 8 inches long and 4 inches wide. Spread the remaining ketchup evenly over the top of the loaf.
Step 3: Bake
Transfer the pan to the oven and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
Step 4: Let It Rest
Remove from the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes to allow the juices to settle. Slice and serve warm.
