Peanut Butter Fritos Candy Bites

This peanut butter Fritos candy is the perfect balance of sweet and salty indulgence. Sometimes compared to a homemade Butterfinger, it pairs crunchy corn chips with creamy peanut butter and a sugary syrup to create an irresistibly addictive bite. It’s an easy no-bake dessert that’s especially great for anyone who enjoys a little savory edge in their sweets.

🥜 Peanut Butter Fritos Candy

🥣 Ingredients

Base & Binder

  • 9 oz bag Fritos corn chips
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

Optional Topping

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

👩‍🍳 Directions

1. Prepare the Pan
Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Arrange the Fritos in a single, even layer across the bottom of the dish.

2. Cook the Sugar Syrup
In a large microwave-safe bowl, whisk together the sugar and corn syrup. Microwave on high for 1 minute, then stir. Continue heating in 1-minute intervals—about 3 minutes total—until the mixture comes to a full rolling boil.

3. Mix in the Peanut Butter
Carefully remove the hot syrup from the microwave and immediately stir in the peanut butter. Mix until smooth and completely blended.

4. Coat the Fritos
Pour the hot peanut butter mixture evenly over the Fritos. Work quickly, allowing the syrup to flow between the chips. Avoid stirring, as this can break the chips—letting the mixture settle naturally works best.

5. Cool and Add Chocolate (Optional)
Let the candy cool at room temperature for about 1 hour. If using chocolate, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second microwave intervals, stirring until smooth. Spread evenly over the cooled peanut butter layer.

6. Cut and Serve
Once the chocolate has set—chilling for 15–20 minutes helps—slice into bars or squares and serve.
