This hearty, creamy, and satisfying baked pasta dish makes for the ultimate weeknight comfort food. Featuring tender bowtie pasta tossed in a rich sauce of savory Italian sausage, marinara, and cream, then baked to perfection beneath a golden layer of melted mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

Grated Parmesan cheese½ cup
Olive oil1 tablespoon
Italian seasoning1 teaspoon

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Pasta
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bowtie pasta according to the package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 2: Cook the Sausage
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage, using a spoon or spatula to break it into small pieces. Cook for 7–10 minutes, or until browned and fully cooked.

Step 3: Make the Sauce
Add marinara sauce and heavy cream to the skillet with the sausage. Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.

Step 4: Assemble the Dish
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta with the creamy sausage sauce, mixing until evenly coated. Pour the mixture into a lightly greased baking dish. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan evenly over the top.

Step 5: Bake and Serve
Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is bubbling. Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
