  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese on top.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the top is golden brown.
  9. Allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.
