This is my little secret for making sure my husband’s always in a great mood – he’s obsessed with it.

Baked Apple Fritters
These baked apple fritters deliver all the cozy, spiced goodness of the classic fried version—without the extra oil. Soft and tender on the inside with juicy apple bits and warm cinnamon flavor, they’re finished with a sweet vanilla glaze. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a satisfying dessert.

🍎 Ingredients

Fritter Batter:

IngredientQuantity
All-purpose flour2 cups
Granulated sugar1/4 cup
Baking powder1 tablespoon
Salt1/2 teaspoon
Ground cinnamon2 teaspoons
Whole milk1/2 cup
Large eggs2
Vanilla extract2 teaspoons
Diced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)2 cups
Melted butter2 tablespoons

Simple Glaze:

IngredientQuantity
Powdered sugar1 cup
Milk2–3 tablespoons
Vanilla extract1/2 teaspoon

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven & Prep Pan
Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until evenly combined.
  3. Stir Together Wet Ingredients
In a separate bowl, beat the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Pour this mixture into the bowl of dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined. Avoid overmixing—some lumps are okay.
  4. Add Apples and Butter
Fold in the diced apples and melted butter, mixing just until the apples are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  5. Shape the Fritters
Scoop spoonfuls of the batter onto your prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each. Shape into slightly uneven mounds for a rustic look.
  6. Bake Until Golden
Place in the oven and bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the fritters are golden at the edges and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Make the Glaze
While the fritters are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl. Adjust the amount of milk for a thinner or thicker glaze as needed.
  8. Glaze & Enjoy
Let the baked fritters cool for 5 minutes, then drizzle generously with the glaze. Serve warm and enjoy the sweet, spiced comfort!
