Italian Drunken Noodles

This hearty and flavorful one-skillet meal combines juicy Italian sausage, vibrant bell peppers, and a rich tomato-wine sauce, all tossed with tender egg noodles. It’s a quick and cozy dish, perfect for busy evenings.

Dried basil1 tablespoon
Salt and pepperTo taste
Parmesan cheeseFor garnish
Fresh parsley, choppedFor garnish

Instructions

1️⃣ Cook Sausage & Peppers
In a large deep-sided skillet or saucepan, add the ground sausage and chopped bell peppers. Cook over medium-high heat, breaking up the sausage with a spoon, until the meat is browned and the peppers have softened slightly.

2️⃣ Add Garlic & Herbs
Reduce the heat to medium and stir in the minced garlic along with the Italian seasoning. Cook for about 30 seconds until the mixture becomes aromatic.

3️⃣ Deglaze with Wine
Pour in the white cooking wine, scraping any browned bits from the pan. Let the wine simmer until it reduces by half.

4️⃣ Add Tomatoes & Seasonings
Add the undrained diced tomatoes, dried basil, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir everything together thoroughly.

5️⃣ Toss with Noodles
Gently fold in the cooked egg noodles, stirring until the noodles are well coated and heated through.

6️⃣ Finish & Serve
Garnish with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of chopped parsley. Serve hot and enjoy!
