NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk⅔ cup (one 5 fl-oz can)
Butter or margarine2 tablespoons
Salt¼ teaspoon
Mini marshmallows2 cups
NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels1 ½ cups (9 oz)
Chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)½ cup
Vanilla extract1 teaspoon

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Pan & Cook Base

Line an 8-inch square pan with aluminum foil for easy removal later. In a medium, heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine the sugar, evaporated milk, butter, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture reaches a full rolling boil. Continue boiling and stirring continuously for 4 to 5 minutes. Remove the pan from heat.

Step 2: Mix in Chocolate and Marshmallows

Quickly stir in the marshmallows, chocolate chips, optional nuts, and vanilla. Beat the mixture vigorously for about 1 minute, or until the marshmallows have melted completely and the fudge is smooth.

Step 3: Chill and Slice

Pour the fudge into the foil-lined pan and spread evenly. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm. Once set, lift the fudge out using the foil, remove the foil, and cut into 48 squares.
