Walking Taco Casserole Recipe

This Walking Taco Casserole takes the fun and flavors of walking tacos and transforms them into an easy and satisfying oven-baked dish. Seasoned ground beef, creamy cheese, and crunchy corn chips are layered together and baked until warm and bubbly, then topped with fresh lettuce, tomato, and your favorite taco garnishes.

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
  2. Cook beef and onion: Place the ground beef and chopped onion in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat on the stove. Sauté until the meat is browned and the onions have softened.
  3. Add seasoning and cheese: Add the taco seasoning, green chilis, and cream cheese to the skillet. Sauté until the cream cheese is completely melted and well combined with the beef mixture.
  4. Layer with chips and cheese: Top the beef mixture in the skillet with the Fritos corn chips, spreading them out evenly. Then, sprinkle the shredded taco blend cheese over the corn chips.
  5. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
