Whenever I put together this recipe, the house smells fantastic

This Gooey Brownie Pie delivers a rich and fudgy brownie experience in a pie form. The melted chocolate and butter create a deeply chocolatey base, while the slightly underbaked center ensures an incredibly gooey and decadent texture. Served warm or at room temperature with a drizzle of hot fudge, it’s a chocolate lover’s dream.

Ingredients:

IngredientQuantity
Unsalted butter6 tablespoons
Semi-sweet chocolate chips3 cups
Large eggs3
Granulated sugar1 cup
Vanilla extract1 teaspoon
All-purpose flour1/2 cup
Baking powder1/4 teaspoon
Salt1/4 teaspoon
Hot fudge sauceFor serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven and prepare pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie plate or springform pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Melt butter and chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the unsalted butter and 2 cups of the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Melt in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval, until the mixture is completely smooth. Allow the melted chocolate mixture to cool slightly.
  3. Beat eggs and sugar: In a large bowl, using a hand mixer on medium-high speed, beat the large eggs, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract together for 3 minutes until the mixture becomes light in color and fluffy.
  4. Incorporate melted chocolate: With the hand mixer on low speed, slowly pour the slightly cooled melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture until it is fully incorporated and the batter is smooth.
  5. Fold in dry ingredients: Using a rubber spatula, gently fold in the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt just until they are combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Add remaining chocolate chips: Fold in the remaining 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips into the brownie batter.
  7. Pour into pan and bake: Pour the prepared brownie batter evenly into the greased 9-inch pie plate or springform pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes. The edges of the pie will be set and puffed up, the top will look crackly, but the center will still appear quite jiggly. Do not overbake if you want a gooey center.
  8. Cool completely: Remove the Gooey Brownie Pie from the oven and allow it to cool completely at room temperature. The center will set further as it cools.
  9. Slice and serve: Once the pie has cooled completely, slice it into wedges and serve with hot fudge sauce drizzled generously over the top. Enjoy this intensely chocolatey and gooey dessert!
