- ½ cup granulated sugar, for the fruit
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice

- 1 cup granulated sugar, for the batter
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whole or 2% milk
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

- Carefully spoon the fruit mixture over the batter without mixing it in.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40–45 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
- Allow the cobbler to cool for 10–15 minutes before serving warm.
