Slow Cooker Teriyaki Chicken Thighs

Instructions

1. Prepare the Chicken

  • Season thighs with salt and pepper.
  • Place in slow cooker in a single layer.

2. Make the Sauce

  • In a bowl, whisk soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
  • Pour evenly over chicken.

3. Cook

  • Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours or HIGH for 2–2.5 hours, until chicken is tender.

4. Thicken the Sauce (Optional)

  • Remove chicken and set aside.
  • Mix cornstarch and water into a slurry.
  • Stir into sauce; cook on HIGH for 10–15 minutes until thickened.

5. Serve

  • Place chicken over rice or vegetables.
  • Drizzle with sauce.
  • Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
