These hearty Southern Sausage Biscuits make the perfect cozy breakfast or brunch treat. Buttery, flaky biscuits filled with savory sausage and gooey cheese deliver a warm, satisfying bite that’s both simple and delicious.
Ingredients
- 8 canned buttermilk biscuits
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven:
Begin by heating your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Cook the sausage:
In a medium skillet set over medium heat, brown the sausage while breaking it apart with a spoon. Continue cooking until no pink remains, then drain off any extra grease.
3. Prepare the biscuits:
Using your hands or a rolling pin, gently flatten each biscuit. Spoon about a tablespoon of cooked sausage into the center of each one, then top with a little shredded cheddar.
4. Seal them up:
Fold the dough around the filling, pinching the edges together firmly so they’re fully sealed.
