Dump raw broken lasagna noodles into the slow cooker with just four other simple ingredients for a meal so delicious your family will be asking for seconds!

This 5-ingredient slow cooker Patriots Day lasagna is an easy, no-fuss take on the traditional layered pasta favorite. Instead of carefully stacking sheets, it uses broken lasagna noodles combined with ricotta, mozzarella, Italian sausage, and marinara sauce for a more rustic feel. Everything cooks together in the slow cooker, allowing the dry noodles to soften directly in the sauce, resulting in a rich, cheesy meal without the usual effort.
5-Ingredient Slow Cooker Patriots Day Lasagna
Ingredients:
- 12 lasagna noodles (dry, broken)
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara or pasta sauce
- 1 container (15 oz) ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 lb Italian sausage (cooked and drained)
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Base
Grease a 5–6 quart slow cooker lightly. Spread about 1/2 cup of marinara sauce across the bottom to prevent sticking.
Step 2: Add the Noodles
Arrange the broken dry noodles in an even layer inside the slow cooker.
Tip: Break them into large, irregular pieces so they absorb the sauce more evenly.
Step 3: Build the Layers
In a bowl, combine the ricotta with 1/2 cup of mozzarella. Spread half of the cooked sausage over the noodles, then add half of the ricotta mixture. Pour over half of the remaining marinara sauce.
Step 4: Repeat and Top
Add another layer using the remaining sausage, ricotta mixture, and sauce. Finish by sprinkling the remaining 1 1/2 cups of mozzarella on top.
Tip: Press down any exposed noodle pieces so they are fully covered with sauce.
Step 5: Cook
Cover and cook on LOW for 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours, until the noodles are tender and the cheese is fully melted.
Step 6: Rest Before Serving
Turn off the slow cooker and let the lasagna rest, covered, for 15–20 minutes. This allows it to firm up slightly for easier serving.
