Oven-Braised Beer Bratwurst with Caramelized Onions & Apples

Instructions
- Preheat: Set the oven to 350°F (175°C). Heat the olive oil and butter in a large oven-safe skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat.
- Caramelize: Add the onions and apples. Cook for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender, golden, and caramelized.
- Add garlic: Stir in the garlic and cook for about 1 minute.
- Add bratwursts: Nestle the bratwursts into the onion and apple mixture. Pour in the beer and beef broth.
- Season: Stir in the Dijon mustard and season with salt and pepper.
- Braise: Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then transfer the uncovered skillet to the oven. Bake for 30–40 minutes, until the bratwursts are cooked through and the flavors have melded.
- Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with plenty of the caramelized onions and apples.
