My neighbor Helen found this in a 1959 church cookbook. Only 4 ingredients and guests hover around the pan until it’s gone

These Oven-Baked 4-Ingredient Crispy Phyllo Cups are an easy, savory appetizer made with flaky phyllo shells filled with creamy cheese, crispy bacon, and melted cheddar.
They bake in just a few minutes and come out warm, crisp, and packed with flavor. With only four ingredients, they’re perfect for parties, holidays, game days, or any time you need a quick appetizer that disappears fast.
Oven-Baked 4-Ingredient Crispy Phyllo Cups
Ingredients
- 15 frozen mini phyllo shells, thawed
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup cooked bacon, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
1. Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Arrange the thawed phyllo shells in a single layer on a baking sheet. You can also place them in a mini muffin pan to help keep them upright while baking.
2. Prepare the filling
In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, finely chopped bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese.
Stir until the ingredients are evenly mixed and the filling is creamy.
3. Fill the phyllo shells
Spoon the cheese and bacon mixture evenly into each phyllo shell.
Fill them generously, allowing the mixture to mound slightly above the top of each cup.
4. Bake
Place the filled phyllo cups in the oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
They are ready when the filling is hot and melted and the tops are lightly golden.
5. Cool and serve
Remove the cups from the oven and allow them to cool for about 2 to 3 minutes.
Transfer them to a serving platter and enjoy while warm and crispy.
These little bites are especially good served fresh from the oven, when the shells are crisp and the cheesy bacon filling is still warm and creamy.
