Creamy Herb Butter Chicken

This Creamy Herb Butter Chicken is the kind of simple dinner that feels much richer than the effort it takes to make.

Tender chicken breasts are seared in butter, seasoned with herbs, and gently simmered in heavy cream until the sauce turns smooth, rich, and comforting. With only four ingredients, it’s an easy option for busy evenings when you still want something warm and satisfying.

Serve it over mashed potatoes, buttered egg noodles, or rice so you can soak up every bit of the creamy sauce. Green beans, broccoli, roasted carrots, or warm bread also make great sides.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet dry herb seasoning mix, about 1 ounce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 tablespoons butter

Directions

1. Sear the chicken

Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5 to 6 minutes per side, or until lightly golden.

2. Add the seasoning and cream

Sprinkle the dry herb seasoning evenly over the chicken.

Pour the heavy cream into the skillet.

Reduce the heat to low and spoon some of the cream over the chicken so it is well coated.

3. Simmer

Cover the skillet and cook for another 12 to 15 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce has thickened into a smooth, creamy gravy.

4. Serve

Transfer the chicken to plates and spoon plenty of the herb cream sauce over the top.

Serve hot with mashed potatoes, noodles, rice, vegetables, or warm bread.

Simple, creamy, and deeply comforting, this is an easy weeknight meal that delivers plenty of flavor with very little prep.
