Dump two whole cans of undrained tuna in the glass baking dish and 4 cheap pantry staples to get a meal so delicious your husband will be begging for

This 5-Ingredient Oven-Baked Canned Tuna is a quick, budget-friendly way to turn pantry staples into a warm, savory meal.
The tuna is baked directly in its juices and topped with a creamy mixture of mayonnaise, mustard, garlic, and herbs. As it cooks, the topping becomes hot and lightly golden while the tuna stays moist underneath.
Serve the portions whole for a rustic presentation, or gently flake the tuna and spoon the pan juices over rice, salad, potatoes, or toast.
5-Ingredient Oven-Baked Canned Tuna
Ingredients
- 2 cans tuna in water or oil, 5 ounces each, undrained
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning, or a mixture of parsley and oregano
Directions
1. Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Position the oven rack in the center and set out an 8-by-8-inch baking dish.
2. Add the tuna
Carefully slide the tuna from both cans directly into the baking dish.
Keep the tuna portions as intact as possible and pour in the liquid from the cans as well.
Arrange the two portions side by side.
3. Make the topping
In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, yellow mustard, garlic powder, and dried Italian seasoning.
Stir until smooth and evenly blended.
4. Top the tuna
Spoon the seasoned mayonnaise mixture over the tops and sides of the tuna.
Spread it gently so the tuna stays mostly intact.
5. Bake
Bake uncovered for 18 to 22 minutes, or until the tuna is heated through, the sauce is bubbling, and the edges of the topping are lightly golden.
6. Rest and serve
Remove the baking dish from the oven and let it rest for 3 to 5 minutes.
Serve the tuna portions whole, or gently flake them and spoon the flavorful pan juices over the top.
This easy pantry meal works especially well with rice, salad, roasted vegetables, potatoes, or toasted bread.
