An Elderly Woman Came In Every Day to Buy 60 Kilos of Beef

Every morning, shortly after sunrise, an elderly woman named Lidia walked into the same neighborhood butcher shop.

For years, there had been nothing unusual about her visits.

She lived quietly, spent carefully, and normally bought only enough meat for one or two simple meals.

Then, without warning, everything changed.

One morning, Lidia walked up to the counter and asked for an amount that made the butcher stare at her.

“Sixty kilos of beef.”

Ovidiu, the shop owner, thought he had misheard.

“Sixty?”

Lidia nodded.

Then she pulled out a large amount of cash and paid without offering any explanation.

Ovidiu assumed she must be preparing for a wedding, a family celebration, or some other large gathering.

He helped prepare the order and watched as she struggled away with the heavy bags.

He expected that to be the end of it.

But the next morning, Lidia came back.

“I need the same order.”

Another sixty kilos.

Then she returned the following day.

And the day after that.

That was when Ovidiu began to feel that something wasn’t right.

It wasn’t only the amount of meat that bothered him.

It was Lidia herself.

She had always been friendly before.

Now she barely spoke.

Her hands trembled while she counted the money.

She repeatedly glanced toward the shop windows.

Whenever Ovidiu offered to help carry the bags, she refused immediately.

“No. I can manage.”

Then she would leave as quickly as possible.

Before long, people around town began talking.

Some believed she was feeding a large group of animals.

Others thought she might be helping poor families.

A few guessed she was secretly supplying a restaurant or charity.

But none of those explanations made sense once people noticed where Lidia was taking the meat.

An old warehouse.

Near the edge of the forest.

The building had supposedly been unused for years.

Ovidiu tried to ignore his curiosity.

It was none of his business what customers did with the food they purchased.

But every morning, Lidia returned looking more frightened than before.

And every morning, she bought another enormous quantity of beef.

By the fourth day, Ovidiu could no longer convince himself it was harmless.

Something was happening.

So he contacted the authorities.

Police officers went to the old warehouse.

What they reportedly found outside only made the situation more disturbing.

There were torn bags near the entrance.

Dark stains marked parts of the concrete.

And behind the main entrance stood a heavy metal door.

It appeared to be secured from the inside.

Lidia was nearby.

The moment she realized officers intended to enter, she became visibly terrified.

“Please,” she reportedly begged.

“Don’t go inside.”

That reaction immediately made everyone more suspicious.

If there was nothing dangerous inside the warehouse…

why was she so desperate to stop them?

By then, word of what was happening had spread through the community.

The strange daily purchases suddenly seemed far more serious.

Sixty kilos of meat.

Every morning.

An elderly woman who appeared frightened.

An abandoned warehouse near the forest.

And now a locked door she desperately did not want police to open.

What had begun as an ordinary visit to a butcher shop had turned into a mystery nobody in town could ignore.

Because sometimes, the strangest stories don’t begin with screams or sirens.

Sometimes they begin with something as simple as an elderly woman walking into a shop…

and ordering far more meat than anyone could possibly explain.
