Learned this from my grandmother and it never disappoints

This Oven-Baked 3-Ingredient Au Jus Roast Beef is a simple, comforting main dish made with a boneless beef roast, dry au jus seasoning, and beef broth.
The roast cooks slowly at a low temperature until it becomes tender and easy to slice. After resting, the beef is cut thinly and returned to the flavorful pan juices so every piece stays moist and rich.
Oven-Baked 3-Ingredient Au Jus Roast Beef
Ingredients
- 3 to 4 pounds boneless beef roast, such as chuck or rump roast
- 1 packet dry au jus gravy mix, 1 ounce
- 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
Directions
1. Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
Set out a deep baking dish or casserole dish large enough to hold the roast comfortably.
2. Season the beef
Pat the roast dry with paper towels.
Place it in the center of the baking dish.
Sprinkle the dry au jus gravy mix over the top and sides of the roast, pressing it gently onto the surface.
3. Pour in the broth
Slowly pour the beef broth around the roast.
Try to pour along the sides of the baking dish so the seasoning on top of the meat stays in place.
4. Cover and bake
Cover the baking dish tightly with heavy-duty aluminum foil or a fitted lid.
Bake for 3 to 3 1/2 hours, or until the beef is very tender and easily pierced with a fork.
5. Rest the roast
Carefully remove the dish from the oven.
Transfer the roast to a cutting board and let it rest for about 10 minutes.
While it rests, skim any excess fat from the pan juices if desired.
6. Slice and serve
Slice the roast thinly across the grain.
Return the sliced beef to the baking dish and let it sit in the hot au jus.
Serve warm with plenty of the rich pan
