Dried thyme | 1 teaspoon |
Salt | 2 teaspoons |
Instructions:
- Make the Dressing:
In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sweet relish, spicy mustard, dried thyme, and salt. Stir until smooth and creamy. Set aside. - Layer the Ingredients:
Use a clear glass bowl to show off each colorful layer. Arrange the ingredients in this order:- First: Iceberg lettuce at the base.
- Second: Finely diced red onion.
- Third: Chopped hard-boiled eggs.
- Fourth: Diced sweet peppers.
- Fifth: Thawed peas, spread evenly.
- Sixth: Irish cheese, generously layered on top.
- Add the Dressing:
Spoon the dressing evenly over the final layer. Gently spread it with a spatula to fully cover the top surface. - Chill (Optional):
Cover and refrigerate for 1–2 hours if possible. This allows the flavors to develop and the dressing to slightly soak into the top layers. - Serve:
Keep the layers intact until ready to serve. Toss gently before serving to coat everything in the dressing, or serve as-is and let guests scoop into the layers.
