🥩 Ingredients:

IngredientQuantity
White sandwich bread slices3 slices
Small onion, quartered1
Garlic cloves, pressed3–4
Mayonnaise1/4 cup
Egg1
Italian seasoning1 teaspoon
Salt1 teaspoon (or to taste)
Black pepper1/2 teaspoon
Ground beef1 ½ lbs
Italian-style breadcrumbs3/4 cup
Olive oilFor pan-frying

🔪 Instructions:

Serve:
Arrange on a serving platter and enjoy warm. Pair with mashed potatoes, a green salad, steamed veggies, or sandwich buns for a hearty meal.

Soften the Bread:
Submerge the bread slices in water and let soak for 10 minutes. Then squeeze out as much water as possible and discard the excess. Set the softened bread aside.

Blend Aromatics:
In a food processor, pulse the quartered onion and garlic cloves until finely chopped. Add the mayonnaise, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth and uniform. Add the wrung-out bread and pulse again until fully combined.

Mix with Beef & Shape Patties:
In a large bowl, combine the seasoned mixture with the ground beef. Mix gently by hand or use a mixer attachment if using the food processor. Be careful not to overmix. Form into 12 meatballs, then roll each one in breadcrumbs. Flatten slightly into patties, about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick.

Pan-Fry the Cutlets:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat (enough to coat the pan). In batches, cook the patties 3–5 minutes per side until crispy, golden, and fully cooked. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels. Repeat with remaining patties.
