🍽️ Instructions
- Lightly coat the inside of a 6-quart slow cooker with cooking spray.
- Spread the sliced onions evenly across the bottom.
- Pat the pork shoulder dry using paper towels.
- Mix together the seasoning blend and salt, then rub it thoroughly over the pork.
- Place the seasoned roast on top of the onions.
- Carefully pour chicken broth around the meat (avoid pouring directly on top to preserve the seasoning).
- Cover and cook:
- On HIGH for 6 to 7 hours
- On LOW for 9 to 10 hours
- Check for doneness—the pork should easily pull apart with a fork.
- Transfer the roast to a plate and let it rest for about 10 minutes.
- Shred the meat, removing any large pieces of fat.
