Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
2. Create the Crust
In a large mixing bowl, stir together the flour, brown sugar, and melted butter until the mixture becomes crumbly and cohesive.
3. Bake the Base Layer
Evenly press the crust mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges begin to turn a light golden color.
4. Add Caramel and Toppings
Take the crust out of the oven and immediately pour the caramel sauce over it. Spread it gently for full coverage. Sprinkle the chocolate chunks and, if desired, chopped nuts across the top.
