Cheesesteak Taco Fries
These loaded Cheesesteak Taco Fries bring together the best of both worlds—crispy waffle fries and flavorful taco-seasoned beef. Topped with gooey melted cheese and fresh garnishes, they’re perfect for parties, game day, or a casual dinner.
Ingredients:
| Ingredient | Quantity |
|---|---|
| Frozen waffle fries | 1 bag |
| Ground beef | 1 lb |
| Onion, chopped | 1 |
| Taco seasoning mix | 1 packet |
| Cheddar jack cheese, shredded | 2 cups |
| Green onions, chopped | ½ cup |
| Tomato, diced | 1 |
Instructions:
- Bake the Fries: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Spread the waffle fries on a parchment-lined baking tray and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until they’re golden and crispy.
- Prepare the Beef Mixture: While the fries are baking, place a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the ground beef with the chopped onion until the beef is browned and the onion is tender. Drain any extra fat.
- Add the Seasoning: Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the taco seasoning and cook for a few more minutes, ensuring the seasoning is evenly mixed into the meat.
- Layer and Melt: Once the fries are done, take them out of the oven. Evenly spread the beef mixture over the fries, then sprinkle with shredded cheese. Return the tray to the oven and bake for another 5–10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
- Top & Serve: Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped green onions and diced tomato. Serve immediately while hot and melty!
