Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 2: Cook the Beef Mixture
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Once cooked, drain off any excess grease.

Step 3: Mix the Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and milk. Add the cooked beef mixture, rice, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Stir in frozen peas if you’re using them.

Step 4: Assemble the Casserole
Spread the mixture evenly into your prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese on top.

Step 5: Bake
Place in the oven and bake for 25–30 minutes, until the casserole is bubbling around the edges and the cheese has melted to a golden brown.

Step 6: Serve
Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
