Forget cake! I want these as my birthday treat this year.

Strawberry Dumplings
These cozy Strawberry Dumplings feature juicy strawberry slices wrapped in golden crescent roll dough, baked in a buttery brown sugar sauce with a hint of cinnamon and a splash of soda for extra lift and sweetness.
Ingredients
| Ingredient | Quantity |
|---|---|
| Crescent roll dough | 2 cans (8 oz each) |
| Fresh strawberries, sliced | 1 ½ cups |
| Butter | ¾ cup |
| Brown sugar | 1 ¼ cups |
| Vanilla extract | 2 teaspoons |
| Ground cinnamon | 1 teaspoon |
| Lemon juice | 2 teaspoons |
| 7Up or Sprite | 1 cup |
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat and Prep the Berries
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Wash and slice the strawberries—reserve 1 cup for filling and ½ cup for topping later.
Step 2: Assemble the Dumplings
Open the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles. Place a few strawberry slices (from the reserved 1 cup) at the wide end of each piece. Roll each one up, tucking the edges so the fruit is enclosed. Arrange the dumplings in a greased 9×13-inch baking pan.
Step 3: Make the Sauce
Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Stir until the mixture is smooth and the sugar has dissolved. Pour the warm sauce evenly over the dumplings.
Step 4: Add Soda and Bake
Gently pour the 7Up or Sprite around the sides of the pan (avoid pouring directly on top of the dumplings). Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the tops are golden and the sauce is bubbling.
Step 5: Serve and Enjoy
Allow the dumplings to cool for a few minutes before serving. Spoon some of the sauce over each serving and top with the remaining sliced strawberries. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream, if you like.
