Garlic Butter Cheese Bites, Baked to Perfection

These Baked Garlic Butter Cheese Bites are a fast, fuss-free option for an appetizer or side dish. Store-bought biscuit dough eliminates the need for rising and kneading, while a savory garlic butter coating delivers that classic pizzeria flavor. Inside, melted mozzarella creates a stretchy, gooey center in every bite.
Baked Garlic Butter Cheese Bites
Ingredients
| Ingredient | Amount |
|---|---|
| Refrigerated biscuit dough | 1 container (16 oz / 8 biscuits) |
| Mozzarella cheese (shredded or string) | 4 oz |
| Butter, melted | 4 tablespoons (½ stick) |
| Garlic powder | 1 teaspoon |
| Italian seasoning | 1 teaspoon |
| Salt | A pinch |
| Marinara or ranch (optional) | For dipping |
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Dough
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it. Separate the biscuits and gently flatten each one to form a small pocket for the cheese.
Step 2: Fill with Cheese
Divide the mozzarella into eight equal portions (slice string cheese if needed). Place one portion in the center of each flattened biscuit.
Step 3: Seal and Shape
Bring the dough edges up over the cheese and pinch firmly to seal. Roll into smooth balls and arrange them seam-side down on the baking sheet.
Step 4: Brush with Garlic Butter
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt. Brush about half of the mixture over the tops of the dough balls.
Step 5: Bake
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the bites are puffed and golden.
Step 6: Finish and Serve
Brush the remaining garlic butter over the hot cheese bites. Serve right away while the centers are melty and stretchy, with marinara or ranch on the side for dipping.
