Flaky Savory Puff Pastry Snacks

These flaky puff pastry snacks make the perfect appetizer or party bite. Easily customizable, they’re delicious with a range of fillings—from a classic cheese-and-herb mix to more unique combinations like eggplant and feta.

Ingredients:

Beaten egg (for brushing)1
Filling Ideas:
Shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, parmesan)As needed
Fresh chopped herbs (parsley, dill, chives)As needed
Finely diced hamAs needed
Roasted eggplant, choppedAs needed
Crumbled fetaAs needed
SaltA pinch
Additional seasonings (to taste)As desired

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Unfold the puff pastry onto a lightly floured work surface.
  3. Slice into small squares or rectangles, depending on your preferred shape.
  4. Add a small spoonful of your chosen filling to the center of each piece.
  5. Fold the pastry over the filling to create a sealed triangle or rectangle. Press the edges together to ensure they’re closed.
  6. Lightly brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Arrange the filled pastries on the baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until puffed and nicely browned.
  9. Allow them to cool slightly before serving warm.
