This lighter version of traditional meatloaf offers all the comfort without the extra calories. Made with lean ground beef and wholesome ingredients, it’s a healthier take on a beloved classic that’s still packed with flavor. Perfect for a nutritious, satisfying dinner any night of the week.
Ingredients
For the Meatloaf:

| 96% lean ground beef or tenderloin | 1 lb |
| Whole wheat bread, torn into pieces | 1 ½ slices |
| Vidalia onion, finely chopped | 1 cup |
| Large egg whites | 3 |
| Salt | A pinch |
| Black pepper | ½ teaspoon |
| Ketchup | 3 tablespoons |
| Yellow mustard | 1 tablespoon |
| Worcestershire sauce | 1 tablespoon |
Instructions
- Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly coat a loaf pan with nonstick spray to prevent sticking. - Mix the Meatloaf Base
In a large mixing bowl, combine the lean ground beef, shredded whole wheat bread, chopped onion, egg whites, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined. - Make the Sauce
In a separate small bowl, whisk together ketchup, yellow mustard, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth. - Combine & Shape
Pour the sauce mixture into the bowl with the meat mixture. Using clean hands, mix thoroughly until the ingredients are evenly distributed. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan. - Bake the Meatloaf
Transfer the pan to the oven and bake for about 55 minutes, or until the loaf is cooked through and firm in the center. - Cool Slightly & Serve
Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes after baking. Slice into 5 portions and serve warm.
