Soft & Spiced Apple Pie Cake

Cake Ingredients

Granulated sugar | 1 cup (200 g)
Unsalted butter, melted | ½ cup (115 g)
Milk | 1 cup (240 ml)
Eggs | 2 large
Baking powder | 2 tsp
Vanilla extract | 1 tsp
Salt | ½ tsp

Brown sugar | 2 tbsp

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prepare the Apples
    Peel and dice the apples into small pieces. Toss them with brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Set aside.
  2. Make the Batter
    Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pan.
    In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until smooth. Add the melted butter and vanilla, then stir in the milk.
    In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until smooth.
  3. Assemble the Cake
    Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan. Evenly spread the apple mixture over the batter. Pour the remaining batter on top and smooth the surface.
  4. Bake
    Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Cool and Serve
    Allow the cake to cool for about 20 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
