Sweet Cinnamon Toast

There’s something timeless about cinnamon toast. A plain slice of bread transforms into a warm, sweet treat with a buttery, spiced topping baked to a golden, lightly crisp finish. It’s comfort food at its simplest—familiar, easy, and always satisfying.
Many grew up making a quick version: butter, a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar, and into the toaster. This method takes it a step further. By blending the butter with sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and a hint of nutmeg beforehand, every bite is evenly coated with rich flavor.
The oven does the rest of the work. Baking creates a soft, melt-in-your-mouth texture, while a quick broil at the end adds a delicate caramelized crispness on top. The result is warm, sweet, and incredibly comforting—almost like a simplified cinnamon roll.
Perfect alongside a cup of coffee in the morning or as a cozy snack any time of day, it’s proof that simple ingredients can create something truly delicious.
