Instructions
Prepare the Crust (15 minutes)
Heat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
If you’re using a store-bought crust, follow the instructions on the package for pre-baking.
For a homemade crust, roll the dough to fit a 9-inch pie dish and gently place it inside.
Blind bake the crust: line it with parchment paper and add pie weights or dried beans. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove the weights and paper, then bake another 5 minutes until lightly browned. Allow it to cool slightly.
Make the Filling (5 minutes)
In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, and whole milk until smooth.
Add the salt, black pepper, and nutmeg, mixing until evenly combined.
Assemble and Bake (50–55 minutes)
Sprinkle the Gruyere, Swiss, and cheddar across the bottom of the pre-baked crust.
Pour the egg mixture over the cheeses, letting it settle evenly.
Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is firm and the surface is golden. A knife inserted in the middle should come out clean.
Serve (10 minutes)
Remove from the oven and let the quiche rest for about 10 minutes.
Slice into wedges and serve warm. It pairs wonderfully with a leafy green salad, fruit salad, or roasted vegetables.
