3-Ingredient Kielbasa Stetson Bakes

Old-School Kielbasa Bake

This hearty kielbasa casserole brings classic Midwestern comfort to the table with just three simple ingredients. Smoky slices of kielbasa are layered with creamy cream cheese and plenty of sharp cheddar, then baked until hot, bubbly, and golden around the edges. Rich, satisfying, and naturally low in carbohydrates, this easy dish is perfect for busy weeknight dinners, game-day spreads, or casual potlucks.

Serve it alongside a crisp green salad, roasted broccoli, sautéed green beans, or tangy coleslaw to balance the cheesy richness. Rye bread, mashed cauliflower, or a side of mustard or sour cream also make delicious accompaniments.

Ingredients

  • 2 kielbasa sausages (14 ounces each), sliced into 1/4-inch rounds
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened and cut into small pieces
  • 3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Heat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a medium-sized ceramic casserole dish.
  2. Arrange the kielbasa: Spread the sliced kielbasa evenly across the bottom of the prepared dish.
  3. Add the cream cheese: Scatter the softened cream cheese pieces over the sausage, distributing them as evenly as possible.
  4. Top with cheddar: Sprinkle the shredded sharp cheddar over the entire dish, making sure the kielbasa is covered.
  5. Bake until bubbly: Place the casserole in the oven and bake for 25–30 minutes, until the cheese has melted completely, the edges are bubbling, and the top develops a light golden color.
  6. Rest and serve: Let the casserole stand for about 5 minutes before serving so the melted cheese can settle slightly. Spoon into portions and serve hot.
