The result is tender, flavorful pork with a perfectly crisp finish.

Even better, this dish comes together quickly, making it ideal for a comforting meal without spending hours in the kitchen.

🥩🧀 Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 8 boneless pork chops (½-inch thick)
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 3 tbsp whole milk
  • ¾ tsp garlic salt, divided
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ⅔ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp lemon pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ cup melted butter (or more if needed)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the baking setup
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil, place a wire rack on top, and lightly coat it with cooking spray.
  2. Mix the wet ingredients
In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, ¼ teaspoon of garlic salt, and black pepper.
  3. Prepare the coating
In another dish, combine the panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan, lemon pepper, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and the remaining garlic salt.
  4. Coat the pork chops
Season the pork chops lightly. Dip each one into the egg mixture, then press into the breadcrumb mixture until evenly coated. Arrange them on the prepared rack.
  5. Add butter
Drizzle melted butter over each pork chop. For extra crispiness, you can add a bit more butter or lightly spray with cooking spray.
  6. Bake
Bake for 30–35 minutes, until the coating is golden and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  7. Optional broil
For a deeper golden crust, broil for 2–3 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  8. Rest and serve
Let the pork chops rest for about 5 minutes before serving to keep them juicy.

Tips for best results

  • Using a rack allows air to circulate, helping the coating crisp evenly
  • Butter is key for that rich, golden crust
  • Bone-in chops can be used—just increase cooking time slightly
  • Fresh herbs like parsley, thyme, or rosemary add a nice finishing touch

Serving ideas

  • Mashed potatoes or creamy polenta
  • Mac and cheese
  • Roasted green beans or asparagus
  • Caesar salad
  • Garlic butter dinner rolls

Storage and reheating

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days
  • Reheat in the oven or air fryer to keep the crust crisp; microwaving will soften the coating
