Ingredients

Directions

  1. Peel and thinly slice the potatoes and carrots, then divide them evenly among 4 heavy-duty foil trays or large sheets of foil shaped into packets.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with the dry onion soup mix and shape into 4 equal patties.
  3. Place one beef patty on top of each portion of potatoes and carrots.
  4. Fold and crimp the foil edges upward to help keep the juices sealed inside during cooking.
  5. Arrange the foil packets or trays inside the slow cooker.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or on HIGH for 3½–4 hours, until the vegetables are tender and the beef is fully cooked.
  7. Let the packets rest for a few minutes before serving hot with the flavorful juices spooned over the top.
