| Taco seasoning mix | 1 packet (1 oz) |
| Diced tomatoes with green chiles, undrained | 1 can (10 oz) |
| Shredded cheddar cheese | 2 cups |
| Ranch dressing | 8 oz |
| Frozen phyllo tart shells | 5 packages (15 shells each) |
Instructions
Preheat the Oven
Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Brown the Beef
Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully browned and no pink remains. Drain any excess grease.
Season the Meat
Add the taco seasoning and the undrained diced tomatoes with green chiles. Stir well and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat.
Mix the Filling
In a large bowl, combine the shredded cheddar cheese and ranch dressing. Stir the cheese mixture into the seasoned beef until evenly blended.
Fill the Shells
Spoon the prepared filling into the frozen phyllo tart shells. If preparing ahead of time, the filled shells can be frozen until needed.
Bake
Arrange the filled shells on a baking sheet. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or 10–13 minutes if cooking directly from frozen, until heated through and lightly golden.
