Oven-Baked 3-Ingredient Potato Ring Mold

Some recipes instantly become the focal point of the table, and this potato ring mold is one of those classics. Made with only three basic ingredients, it turns everyday potatoes into a beautifully golden dish that feels both elegant and comforting.
In our family, this was a holiday tradition. Every Easter, my mother-in-law would present it on a serving platter, perfectly browned and shaped into a stunning ring. It always drew compliments before the first serving was even taken.
What makes it special is its uncomplicated charm—a soft, creamy interior surrounded by a lightly crisp, golden crust. It pairs wonderfully with roasted meats, seasonal vegetables, or any celebratory meal.

Ingredients
| Ingredient | Amount | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks | 2 lbs (900g) | |
| Parmesan cheese, grated | 1 cup | |
| Eggs | 2 large | |
| Optional seasonings | To taste | Salt, black pepper, garlic powder |
Equipment
- Large saucepan or pot
- Potato masher or potato ricer
- Mixing bowl
- Ring mold or Bundt pan
- Butter or non-stick cooking spray
Instructions
1. Cook the Potatoes
Place the peeled potato chunks in a pot of salted water. Boil for 15–20 minutes, or until tender when pierced with a fork. Drain thoroughly and allow excess moisture to evaporate for a few minutes.
2. Mash Until Smooth
Mash the potatoes until silky and lump-free. Let them cool slightly before adding the eggs.
3. Combine the Ingredients
Mix in the grated Parmesan and eggs until the mixture is smooth and well blended. Add optional seasonings if desired.
4. Prepare the Pan
Heat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Generously grease the ring mold or Bundt pan. Transfer the potato mixture into the mold, pressing lightly to remove trapped air and level the surface.
5. Bake
Bake for 35–45 minutes, until the top and edges develop a rich golden color.
6. Allow to Rest
Remove from the oven and let the mold stand for about 10 minutes so the ring can set properly.
7. Unmold and Serve
Carefully invert onto a serving platter to reveal the beautifully browned potato ring. Serve warm alongside your favorite main dishes.
✨ Simple ingredients, classic flavor, and an eye-catching presentation make this potato ring mold a memorable addition to any holiday table or family gathering.
