Ingredients
| Ingredient | Amount |
|---|---|
| Mini pretzel twists | 10 cups (1 bag, 16 oz) |
| Packed light brown sugar | 1 cup |
| Unsalted butter, cut into cubes | ½ cup (1 stick) |
| Light corn syrup | ÂĽ cup |
| Vanilla extract | 1 teaspoon |
| Baking soda | ½ teaspoon |
| Heath toffee bits | 1 bag |
👩‍🍳 Instructions
1. Prepare the Oven
Preheat the oven to 200°F (95°C). Lightly grease a large roasting pan, including disposable aluminum pans if using. Spread the mini pretzels into an even layer.
2. Cook the Toffee
In a medium saucepan, combine the brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture reaches a boil. Continue boiling for 5 minutes.
3. Finish the Toffee Mixture
Remove the saucepan from the heat and whisk in the vanilla extract and baking soda. The mixture will foam and expand quickly.
4. Coat the Pretzels
Pour the hot toffee mixture over the pretzels. Sprinkle half of the Heath toffee bits over the top, then gently toss until all of the pretzels are evenly coated.
5. Bake
Bake for 1 hour, stirring the pretzels every 15 minutes so the coating bakes evenly and becomes crisp.
6. Cool and Serve
Spread the coated pretzels onto a sheet of wax paper. Immediately sprinkle the remaining Heath toffee bits over the top and allow the mixture to cool for about 1 hour, or until completely set. Break into bite-sized clusters before serving or packaging.
✨ Sweet, buttery, crunchy, and loaded with toffee flavor, these Butter Toffee Pretzels are the perfect homemade snack for holidays, parties, or everyday treats.
